Description
This beautifully presented Advent Calendar comes in a cute Christmas tree design, with 24 boxes filled with fabric to make your very own large patchwork Winter Star.
The quilt pattern is by Brigitte Heitland using Zen Chic fabrics and the finished size of the project is 33″ square.
The circle design gives the illusion of curves but uses straight seams. The pattern is a Foundation Paper Pieced pattern, but for those with experience I am sure you could use the pattern pieces for English Paper Piecing.
It is up to you, do you keep each treat for a daily dose of fabric and work on cutting pieces as you go, or wait and save the project for a nice treat in the down time between Christmas & New Year.
You could choose to increase the size of your super sized block with additional borders. I have a selection of fabrics to choose from, as well as wadding and backing fabrics.
